We are seeking a UX Designer to support the design and evolution of federal websites and digital products as part of cross‑functional delivery teams. </p><p>This role is suited for a UX professional who can contribute to UX/UI delivery within Agile, DevSecOps-enabled programs and support user-centered transformation of legacy systems into modern, scalable platforms. </p><h3><u>Job Location </u></h3><p>If you accept this position, you should note that <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/icf">ICF</a> does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections.</p><h3><u>Key Responsibilities </u></h3><p>UX/UI Design &amp; User-Centered Modernization </p><ul><li><p>Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems through user-centeredapplications, by applying human-centered design principles across the full product lifecycle. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Translate complex business processes, technical constraints, and mission requirements into intuitive UX/UI solutions for enterprise users (e.g., personnel vetting, adjudication workflows). </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Design end-to-end user experiences including: </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>User flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs and specifications </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure alignment with federal UX/UI standards, including Section 508 accessibility and system-specific design systems (e.g., NBIS UI/UX Playbook). </p></li></ul><p>Usability Testing &amp; UX Research Integration </p><ul><li><p>Support and participate in usability testing by observing representative users performing key workflows and capturing qualitative insights. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Collaborate with product teams to validate concepts and inform iterative design improvements. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Translate research findings into actionable design updates that improve usability, efficiency, and user satisfaction. </p></li></ul><h3>UX Measurement &amp; Data-Driven Design </h3><ul><li><p>Support implementation of UX measurement tools to track user behavior and feature usage. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Analyze UX metrics (e.g., task success, feature adoption, workflow completion) to inform design decisions and continuous improvement. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Contribute to reporting on user experience outcomes to guide product prioritization and roadmap decisions. </p></li></ul><h3>Agile Product &amp; DevSecOps Collaboration </h3><ul><li><p>Work within Agile (SAFe) delivery teams to design iteratively alongside developers, product owners, and engineers. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Collaborate in sprint planning, design reviews, and program increment (PI) demos to ensure UX is integrated into delivery. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure designs are feasible
