Student Intern -- Georgia (Undergraduate Ministry)<h3>Work Location:</h3>Remote - USA<h3>Job Type:</h3>Part timeTo advance the purpose of <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/intervarsity">InterVarsity</a>, this position is focused on learning the basics of college campus ministry. This position is limited to students who are currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Second year students and students enrolled at a community college may intern at a two-year/community college. Third year students and higher can work at a four-year or community college. Non-<a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/intervarsity">InterVarsity</a> students who attend a Christian college must have third or fourth year standing.<h3>GROWTH OBJECTIVES</h3><ul><li>Develop in college campus ministry leadership</li><li>Grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, ministry experience and skills, and mature as a disciple of Jesus Christ</li><li>Develop daily spiritual disciplines</li><li>Pursue spiritual relationships and involvement in a worshipping community</li><li>Discern God’s call to ministry service with <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/intervarsity">InterVarsity</a> and its mission</li></ul><h3>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES</h3><ul><li>Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction</li><li>Contribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation</li><li>Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives</li><li>Promote the Mission on campus (to advance witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse):<ul><li>Seek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ</li><li>Learn to guide chapters (or assigned segments of a chapter) in the development of strategic thinking regarding witness to the university</li><li>Learn to model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for God's people of every ethnicity and culture</li></ul></li><li>Encourage a prayerful lifestyle in students, especially focusing on those who do not yet follow Jesus as Lord and Savior</li><li>Engage positively with the supervision and training you receive from your staff ministry trainer and/or director </li><li>Assist with reporting as assigned</li><li>Serve as an ambassador of <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/intervarsity">InterVarsity</a> to individual ministry partners and churches, through prayer, discussion of ministry efforts, mission, and accomplishments</li><li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor</li></ul><h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3><ul><li>A follower of Jesus Christ</li><li>Annually affirm <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/intervarsity">InterVarsity</a>’s Statement of Agreement</li><li>A developing passion for evangelism</li><li>Demonstrates campus ministry leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness and cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, eagerness
