<div>The Remote Radiologist is responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging studies from a remote setting using advanced teleradiology technology. This role supports nationwide imaging needs with timely and accurate reporting, contributing directly to high-quality patient care without the need for onsite presence. It enables flexibility while maintaining diagnostic excellence and clinical collaboration through virtual platforms.</div><h3>Job Duties</h3><ul><li>Interpret a high volume of diagnostic studies remotely, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other modalities.</li><li>Deliver prompt, accurate, and well-documented reports to referring clinicians across multiple locations.</li><li>Communicate critical and time-sensitive findings directly with providers via phone or secure messaging systems.</li><li>Collaborate with technologists and support staff virtually to ensure protocol adherence and image quality.</li><li>Use advanced PACS, RIS, and cloud-based teleradiology systems to manage and review cases.</li><li>Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and virtual team meetings.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date licensure and compliance documentation for multiple states, as required.</li><li>Adhere to all HIPAA and data security standards while working in a remote environment.</li><li>Contribute to a consistent workflow with no weekend or evening shifts required.</li><li>Support a culture of collaboration and excellence across geographically distributed teams.</li></ul><h3>Education and Experience</h3><ul><li>MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.</li><li>Completion of an accredited Radiology Residency program.</li><li>Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or equivalent).</li><li>Active and unrestricted medical licenses in applicable practice states (multi-state licensure preferred).</li><li>Prior teleradiology or remote work experience preferred, but not required.</li></ul><h3>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</h3><ul><li>Proficiency in remote diagnostic tools, PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.</li><li>Exceptional time management and organizational skills in a virtual work environment.</li><li>Strong written communication for clear and concise report generation.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA and teleradiology-specific data privacy protocols.</li><li>Comfortable with high-volume caseloads and maintaining quality standards.</li><li>Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Technical literacy to troubleshoot basic remote workstation issues.</li><li>Familiarity with ACR guidelines, structured reporting, and clinical decision support tools.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><div>We believe in preventative care for everyone including our team – SimonMed provides free, whole-body scans to each member</div></ul><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
