Supervisor: The incumbent reports to the Electrical Design Engineer (A14). Responsibilities Assists in preparing detailed electrical designs through CAD software for building projects such as schools, hospitals, clinics, shelters, warehouses, and rehousing initiatives including renewable, energy, PV and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Agency policies, design criteria, standards, and both local and international codes of practice, and incorporating green elements and safety needs to achieve the most cost effective and reliable solution. Contributes to the tender documents preparation related to electrical works, including drafting specifications for non-standard items, and preparing relevant descriptions for inclusion in Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and cost estimate. Provides technical support for electrical alteration works in Agency premises, including preparing assessment technical reports on the existing electrical systems, inspections, and remediation requirements. Cooperates with construction teams to address electrical design issues during implementation; supports updates of electrical drawings to reflect as-built conditions and evolving site requirements. Coordinates with other designers to optimise electrical solutions, ensuring safety, integrity, and protection in the overall designs; may suggest improvements where is applicable. Assists in drafting Terms of Reference (ToR) for consultants for electrical works and supports their monitoring and supervision to ensure adherence thereof and meeting the design criteria and standards. Provides inputs for electrical technical reports, design reports, progress weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
