Best Company.</p><p>Staff Accountant - Senior Accountant Job Summary Oversee accounting and Reporting for the Company’s Investments.</p><h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Reconcile e-investment holdings and activity to supporting reports and custodial accounts.</li><li>Accounting for the Company’s private investment portfolio including equity method investments in renewable energy and limited partnerships.</li><li>Monthly close process – preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, review of trial balance, financial statement preparation including analytics.</li><li>Prepare quarter-end financial reporting packages and schedules.</li><li>Assist with the Company’s SEC filings and NAIC Statements.</li><li>Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and other special projects as needed.</li><li>Adherence to Company internal controls and accounting policies.</li><li>Provide client assistance as needed for internal and external audits.</li></ul><h3>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h3><ul><li>Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Knowledge of both GAAP and Statutory Accounting Standards</li></ul><h3>Experience and Education Sr. Accountant</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting required</li><li>2-3 years of relevant experience</li><li>CPA or CPA candidate preferred</li><li>Property and Casualty insurance experience a plus</li><li>Experience with Clearwater Analytics, LLC a plus</li><li>Investment accounting experience a plus</li><li>SEC reporting experience a plus</li></ul><h3>Staff Accountant II</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related required</li><li>CPA designation strongly pr
