To ensure we are offering the highest quality education we provide thorough training to all new faculty members through our New Faculty Orientation.</p><p>If you are passionate about nursing and advancing your career through the power of education, we want to talk with you today.</p><p>The typical course of instruction may include:</p><p><strong>NR-601: Primary Care of the Maturing and Aged Family Practicum</strong></p><p>This course continues to expand the knowledge of health-assessment principles specific to the role of the FNP with a focus on the common health problems and healthcare needs of the middle-aged and older adult and family. The student will explore, analyze, apply and evaluate chronic health conditions frequently encountered in the primary care of older adults. Students will further develop their skills related to patient education, protocol development, follow-up and referral through a clinical practicum experience in a precepted primary-care setting.</p><h3>Experience required: </h3><ul><li>Must be certified as FNP by AANP or ANCC and have clinical experience as FNP with a strong background in primary adult care (required)</li><li>Must have DNP or PhD or EdD or other relevant doctoral degree (required)</li><li><strong>An active unencumbered <u>Compact RN nursing license</u> (highly preferred)</strong><ul><li><strong>Must at least have a temporary Illinois RN License or willing to obtain one before Nov 2026. The process to obtain one might take 6+ months. (willing to obtain at own expense)</strong></li></ul></li><li><strong>Special Consideration given to those with NP licenses in AK, HI, MD, ME, NH, NJ, VA and VT</strong></li><li>Concrete background in Internal Medicine (required)<
