Build your career at <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/planet">Planet</a>—recognized as a Top Mortgage Employer by National Mortgage Professional.</p><p>Job Summary The Government Insuring Team Lead is responsible for leading team members who are responsible for reviewing FHA, VA and USDA loans for endorsement/guarantee in accordance with applicable guidelines in addition to serving as a back-up to the AVP, Government Insuring as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Assign daily workflow to team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of FHA, VA and USDA insuring applications.</li><li>Conduct training and coaching of team members to ensure understanding of published guidelines and procedures.</li><li>Perform random quality control reviews of team member work output to ensure compliance with guidelines and procedure.</li><li>Serve as the back-up to AVP, Government Insuring as needed.</li><li>Audits the closed loan file to ensure all documents required by FHA, VA or USDA are present, complete and accurate in order to submit the insuring application to the appropriate agency and obtain the insuring certificate/guaranty.</li><li>Remits the UFMIP, VAFF and USDA fees timely and accurately as required by FHA, VA and USDA.</li><li>Prepares loan files in the appropriate stacking order for HUD and VA audit file requests.</li><li>Submits loan deficiencies for remediation as needed.</li><li>Reviews and responds to Notice of Rejects (NOR) timely and accurately.</li><li>Validates the insuring status and accuracy of acquired loans.</li><li>Performs additional government loan review and research as needed.</li></ul><h3>Position Requirements Education</h3><ul><li>2 – 4 year college degree preferred</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years working experience in a government insuring environment required.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of FHA, VA and USDA requirements for loan insurance applications.</li><li>Knowledge and familiarity of key loan documents 92900A, IRRRL Worksheets, Closing Disclosure, etc.</li><li>Experience with usage of FHA-Connection, WebLGY and the USDA portal for insurance applications.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence others</li></ul><h3>Functional/Technical Skills</h3><ul><li>Demonstrated mastery of FHA, VA and USDA guidelines related to insuring applications.</li><li>Attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures and guidelines is mandatory.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote role while meeting deadlines and achieving desired results.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Personal ownership for learning and growth in role.</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Proven skills with MS Office Products.</li></ul><p>Environmental/Physical Demands Work is typically performed i
