The responsibilities of the incumbent will include collaborating with faculty, staff, and research partners to support the design and execution of research studies using robust and scientifically sound data strategies. This role will involve contributing to research design, extracting and integrating data from sources such as electronic health records, transforming and curating data to create high‑quality, research‑ready datasets, and supporting analytic efforts aligned with study objectives. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and assumptions to support transparency, reproducibility, and effective collaboration.</p><p>This role offers unique opportunities to contribute to innovative research and development within our team.</p><p>It is anticipated that this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.</p><h3><b>Key Job Responsibilities:</b></h3><ul><li><p>Documents approaches to address research questions and contributes to the establishment of reproducible research methodologies and analysis workflows</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Composes and assembles reproducible workflows and reports to clearly articulate patterns to researchers and/or administrators</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Independently identifies and implements appropriate data science techniques to find data patterns and answer research questions chosen by the lead researcher including data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Organizes and automates project steps for data preparation and analysis</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Prepares data sets for analysis including cleaning/quality assurance, transformations, restructuring, and integration of multiple data sources</p></li></ul><h3><b>Department:</b></h3><p>School of Medicine and Public Health, Office of Informatics and Information Technology, Research Data Services.</p><p>This position is within the School of Medicine and Public Health’s Office of Informatics and Information Technology (IIT).
