If you thrive in a dynamic, problem-solving environment, this role is for you!</p><h3>Your missions:</h3><p>🎯 Lead and mentor engineering teams, ensuring high-quality technical solutions that meet customer requirements.</p><p>🎯 Oversee the mechanical design process, including bespoke mechanical handling systems, lifting equipment and accessories, from concept through to manufacture.</p><p>🎯 Manage the development, review, and checking of technical documentation, including verification of design reports, detailed design drawings, technical files, calculations, and compliance documentation.</p><p>🎯 Provide technical guidance and risk assessment, identifying and mitigating challenges before they impact project timelines.</p><p>🎯 Collaborate with project managers, other lead engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.</p><p>🎯 Work with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and FEA tools.</p><p>🎯 Engage with the supply chain, liaising with vendors to specify and develop mechanical components.</p><p>🎯 Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as Machinery Safety Regulations and LOLER.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><h3>Qualifications/Skills to be successful:</h3><p>💡 BEng (2:1 or higher) in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).</p><p>💡 Proven experience in mechanical engineering within a highly regulated sector.</p><p>💡 Strong Knowledge of design for fabrication, welding and manufacturing tolerancing. Specification of heavy industry design experience such as offshore, oil and gas, construction equipment, or similar</p><p>💡 Strong knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering principles, including mechanical handling, design for manufacture and machinery design.</p><p>💡 Ability to lead teams and delegate tasks effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.</p><h3>💡 Chartered Engineered.</h3><p>💡 Experience with MathCAD FEA software (ANSYS, STAAD).</p><p>💡 Experience with piping design software (Fluid Master / Fluid Flow, CAESAR.</p><p>💡 Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and requirements-led design is a plus.</p><p>💡 Experience with NEC 4 contracts and risk identification is desirable.</p><p>💡 Experience with BS EN 13001, BS EN 13155 or similar crane related standards is desirable.</p><p>💡 Experience with hydraulics and control systems is desirable.</p><h3>Additional information</h3><h3>🔹Sole UK nationals only.</h3><p>🔹Must be eligible to gain SC clearance (can start on BPSS).</p><h3>Why join the community of Switchers?:</h3><p>💥 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays</p><h3>💥 8% company pension contributions</h3><p>💥 Healthcare cash-plan to get money
