They specialise in delivering end-to-end solar solutions through scalable and cost-effective platforms, positioning them as a leading provider of solar home systems and energy services in the region.</p><h3>Role Summary</h3><p>The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and field execution within a defined territory by building and managing high-performing sales teams. The role exists to strengthen Agent Team Leaders, improve agent productivity, and deliver consistent regional sales performance through strong coaching, planning, and accountability.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><p>Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual regional sales targets.</p></li><li><p>Develop and implement regional sales plans to improve performance across the territory.</p></li><li><p>Recruit, coach, and manage Agent Team Leaders to build strong field leadership.</p></li><li><p>Support Agent Team Leaders in recruiting, activating, and retaining productive field agents.</p></li><li><p>Conduct regular field visits, market coaching, and performance reviews.</p></li><li><p>Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take corrective action where needed.</p></li><li><p>Track portfolio quality and support repayment performance through field discipline.</p></li><li><p>Create accountability through regular reviews, reporting, and performance management.</p></li><li><p>Identify growth opportunities, underperformance trends, and succession needs within the region.</p></li></ul><h3>Required Qualifications</h3><ul><li><h3>Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.</h3></li><li><p>At least 2 years’ experience managing teams.</p></li><li><p>Experience in PAYGO solar, telecom distribution, FMCG distribution, or microfinance field operations is preferred.</p></li></ul><h3>Core Competencies</h3><ul><li><p>Strong leadership and people management skills.</p></li><li><h3>Coaching and team development ability.</h3></li><li><h3>Commercial and sales orientation.</h3></li><li><h3>Field execution and market engagement.</h3></li><li><h3>Data-driven decision-making.</h3></li><li><h3>Accountability and results focus.</h3></li></ul><h3>Key Success Traits</h3><ul><li><h3>Ownership mentality.</h3></li><li><p>Ability to develop others rather than only manage tasks.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and relationship-building skills.</p></li><li><p>Discipline in performance tracking and follow-up.</p></li><li><p>Comfort working in the field and engaging local teams.</p></li></ul><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
