Its ability to scale across various environments makes it popular with organizations seeking open-source networking solutions.</p><h3>Job description</h3><p>The Development Manager at VyOS is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of software development initiatives. This role focuses on translating technical product requirements into actionable plans, coordinating development activities, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead and mentor the Development teams.</li><li>Translate product requirements into engineering-internal development plans, task breakdowns, and backlog commitments, and ensure proper execution.</li><li>Management of bug triage and feature requests processes.</li><li>Ensure development work aligns with priorities defined by product management.</li><li>Track progress of tasks, epics, and releases, ensuring deadlines are met.</li><li>Identify blockers and ensure their timely resolution.</li><li>Provide regular updates on development status, risks, and timelines.</li><li>Ensure quality standards are met before release.</li><li>Coordinate work with the engineering: development, QA, and technical documentation across the team.</li><li>Manage the QA function for products.</li><li>Maintain development processes and improve execution efficiency.</li><li>Define and enforce best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.</li><li>Owns, maintains a backlog, and ensure is clean, actionable, and up to date.</li><li>Ensure the maintenance of team capacity, workload balance, engagement, and performance standards! And manage human resources to ensure they match the company’s needs.</li><li>Maintain a high level of engagement in the development department.</li><li>Ensure engineering deliverables meet release readiness criteria defined by the Senior Program Manager.</li><li>Ensure development compliance with applicable certification criteria.</li><li>Owns vulnerability response, security testing, and product security posture processes.</li><li>Measure technical debt, report, and take actions to reduce it.</li><li>Participate in the budgeting process.</li><li>Maintain the technical requests escalation management process
