GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a <b>Data Scientist Senior </b>to transform how government agencies use data. Our work depends on a hands-on data scientist joining our team to design and implement artificial intelligence solutions supporting the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) Hosting, Operations &amp; Maintenance (HOM) program.</p><h3>HOW THE DATA SCIENTIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:</h3><ul><li>Accelerate our work by integrating advanced AI capabilities across our suite</li><li>Accelerate the use of and evaluate the efficacy of AI coding tools across the team</li><li>Implement both custom-built and vendor/COTS AI solutions, hands-on, from prototype through production</li><li>Design and implement AI solutions for automated program accomplishment tracking and reporting, including intelligent classification systems and proactive knowledge management</li><li>Implement generative AI (GenAI) with large language models (LLMs) and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) to deliver precise, data-driven responses</li><li>Build an agentic framework enabling service ticket management, account administration, and intelligent journey orchestration</li></ul><h3>WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:</h3><ul><li><b>Education:</b> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field</li><li><b>Experience: </b>5+ years of experience as a data scientist in AI/ML with a proven track record of deploying production solutions<b> required</b>; 8+ years of experience as a data scientist in AI/ML with a proven track record of deploying production solutions <b>preferred</b></li><li>Strong AI/ML coding ability, with the capability to implement both custom and vendor-based solutions independently and use of AI coding tools</li><li>Experience with generative AI (GenAI) using large language models (LLMs)</li><li>Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical analysis, and experimental design with both quantitative and qualitative dat
