You keep the virtual program environment safe, structured, and therapeutically consistent: monitoring clients during group sessions, managing breakout rooms for de-escalation, and staying calm under pressure with genuine investment in the teens you serve.</p><p><em><em>Backgrounds that translate well: psychology/Counseling Graduate Studies · Behavioral Health · Youth Work · Education · Case Management</em></em></p><h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3><ul><li>Monitor and redirect adolescent clients (ages 13–17) via chat during virtual group sessions, transitions, and unstructured time</li><li>Manage breakout rooms independently for de-escalation when a secondary therapist isn't available</li><li>Conduct Green Space assessments and follow up with parents every two weeks</li><li>Process intakes, upload sign-in sheets, prepare welcome kits, and maintain census records</li><li>Produce and distribute the weekly program newsletter</li><li>Track attendance and coordinate psych/IEP scheduling for new admissions</li><li>Provide real-time tech support to clients during sessions (Zoom, breakout rooms, chat)</li><li>Communicate with parents by phone and email on progress and logistics</li><li>Complete accurate, same-day documentation, including wellness check-ins and incident reports</li><li>Escalate safety concerns, disclosures, and behavioral flags to the clinical team immediately</li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p><em><em>Required</em></em></p><ul><li>Experience working with adolescents in a clinical, educational, or community mental health setting</li><li>Comfortable managing virtual group dynamics and de-escalating independently, without in-room support</li><li>Tech-savvy, proficient with Zoom including breakout rooms (trainable if generally techy)</li><li>Documentation and incident reporting skills</li><li>Emotionally regulated, professional, and consistent under pressure</li><li>Understands the limits of a non-clinical role - escalates appropriately, never makes independent clinical decisions</li></ul><p><em><em>AWA is an adolescent mental health organization operating PHP and IOP programs in South Florida.
