<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Video Production Intern</p><p><strong>Reports to: </strong>Media &amp; Marketing Director</p><h3>MISSION STATEMENT</h3><p>OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (ONC) seeks to reduce partisanship and promote effective solutions to America’s challenges. Powered by America’s youth, we host a media outlet, produce educational materials and facilitate dialogue intended to make America a better country.</p><p><strong>Job Description: </strong>The Video Production Intern will contribute to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by assisting within the Media &amp; Marketing department. This position assists with:</p><ul><li>Preproduction support: research episode topics, guests, and relevant visuals; prepare notes and episode outlines.</li><li>Scripting &amp; formatting: draft episode scripts, segment cues, and social clip captions.</li><li>Remote recording assistance: run virtual recording sessions (e.g. Zoom), monitor audio/video quality, troubleshoot basic tech issues.</li><li>Audio editing: clean up dialogue (noise reduction, EQ, level matching), assemble multi-track sessions, and export final episode masters.</li><li>Video editing: create episode video edits, picture-in-picture or speaker cuts, and repurpose long-form content into short clips.</li><li>Managing the media folder within the ONC Google drive.</li><li>Effectively communicate (Slack, Email, Zoom) and attend meetings.</li></ul><p>This position is <em>remote</em>, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. </p><p><strong>Compensation: </strong>This is <u>not</u> a paid position.</p><p><strong>Benefits: </strong>Flexible schedule, college credit (where applicable), and resume-building experience.</p><p>The Video Production Team Lead should have the following skills, education, and experience:</p><ul><li><p>Working towards a degree in Film Production, Broadcast Journalism, Digital Media, Visual/Fine Arts, and/or related fields</p></li><li><p>Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict</p></li><li><p>A self-starter willing to take initiative and meet deadlines</p></li><li><h3>Adobe Suite experience required</h3></li><li><h3>Google Workspace experience preferred</h3></li><li><p>Ability to lead weekly Video Production team meetings</p></li><li><h3>Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.</h3></li></ul><p>All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.</p><p>OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (ONC) seeks to reduce partisanship and promote effective solutions to America’s challenges.
