<h3>About the opportunity</h3><p>We're seeking a passionate Backend Software Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Access Review feature, which is an innovative addition to <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/servicenow">ServiceNow</a>’s Veza’s IAM platform. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, robust solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact, while working with the latest technologies in identity and access management.</p><h3>You will:</h3><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our IAM platform, ensuring they deliver high performance, scalability, and reliability.</li><li>Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, UX designers, and security experts to build features that align with business goals and meet security requirements.</li><li>Lead the development and maintenance of the Access Review feature, a cutting-edge addition to our IAM platform.</li><li>Build and manage identity lifecycle management features, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control policies.</li><li>Implement logging, monitoring, and auditing functionality to ensure platform visibility and compliance with regulatory standards.</li><li>Continuously enhance the performance, security, and scalability of the IAM platform through code reviews, testing, and refactoring.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in identity and access management, leveraging them to drive innovation and elevate the platform.</li></ul><h3>You have:</h3><ul><li>7+ years of proven experience in backend software development, with a focus on identity and access management, security, or related areas.</li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Golang and Java.</li><li>Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.</li><li>Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, standards, and best practices.</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with IAM services and features.</li><li>Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p>For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of <strong>$143,200 - $243,400</strong>, plus equity (when a
