This software is built to meet the needs of regular users of government services as well as <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/skylight-digital">Skylight</a>'s partners in government.</p><p><a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/skylight-digital">Skylight</a> is partnering with the National Archives (NARA) to improve how electronic records across the government are migrated, preserved, and accessed.</p><p>On this team, you'll build end-to-end on a cloud-native stack — including AWS, Spring Boot, and Angular — to make large volumes of government records reliable, searchable, and accessible to the people who depend on them.</p><h3>What you'll do</h3><ul><li>Build and improve systems that migrate, preserve, and make large volumes of government records searchable and accessible</li><li>Engineer software products end-to-end — frontend and backend — on a cloud-native stack as part of a cross-functional team of researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers</li><li>Build accessible, Section 508–compliant interfaces and the APIs and services behind them, keeping secure data exchanges reliable and performant</li><li>Advocate for and adhere to lean-agile engineering practices such as API-first design, continuous integration, version control, and automated testing</li><li>Build secure, compliant software that meets federal security standards and defends against common vulnerabilities</li><li>Mentor other engineers and share knowledge to strengthen the team's engineering practice</li></ul><h3>What we're looking for</h3><h3>Basic qualifications</h3><ul><li>Ability to write clean, working, and reusable code</li><li>Can produce high-quality code by adhering to good practices such as a
