The <b>Pharmaceutical Medical Science Liaison – Dry Eye Medical</b> (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) is primarily responsible for presenting scientific and clinical information on <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/alcon">Alcon</a> products and gathering insights to influence company strategies. You will drive problem-solving and innovation through scientific principles. In this role, a typical day will include:</p><ul><li>Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts and key opinion leaders.</li><li>Support the development and adoption of <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/alcon">Alcon</a> products through evidence-based scientific exchange and seek external insights.</li><li>Provide general medical information in therapeutic areas to practitioners and <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/alcon">Alcon</a> associates and respond to unsolicited requests for medical information.</li><li>Engage in scientific discussions around <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/alcon">Alcon</a> product data.</li><li>Implement medical projects and navigate investigator trials from inception to publication.</li><li>Maintain thorough knowledge of <a href="https://himalayas.app/companies/alcon">Alcon</a> products and current medical/scientific research.</li><li>Work with Med Info and Med Safety to resolve escalated product complaints and medical safety issues, and participate in adverse event reporting and safety responsibilities monitoring.</li><li>Direct human clinical trials, phases III and IV for company products under development, monitor adherence to protocols, and determine study completion.</li><li>Provide reporting information for reports submitted to regulatory agencies.</li><li>Serve as medical consultant to marketing, commercial or research project teams and government regulatory agencies, and act as consultant/liaison with other corporations under licensing agreements.</li><li>Sign off on product safety reviews.</li><li>Interface effectively with all other Medical Affairs functions and departments, including Commercial, Quality Assurance, Research and Development, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, etc.</li><li>Work with integrity and compliance, observing laws, industry standards, and compan
