Job Description
<h3>Overview</h3><p>LMI is seeking an <strong>Integrating Firmware Engineer</strong> to support the development and integration of embedded firmware for next-generation mesh networking products used by Department of Defense customers. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to build experience across multiple areas of embedded systems while working alongside senior firmware, RF, and cybersecurity engineers.</p><p>The Integrating Firmware Engineer will help implement firmware changes supporting the <strong>Nordic nRF54L Series</strong> platform, assist with hardware integration, contribute to rapid GNSS location capabilities, and support the team’s continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment.</p><p>U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value. </p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Develop and modify embedded firmware for the <strong>Nordic nRF54L Series</strong> platform.</li> <li>Implement firmware updates required to support new hardware features, including GPIO and peripheral configuration changes.</li> <li>Assist in integrating rapid GNSS location determination capabilities into embedded products.</li> <li>Support the RF Firmware Engineer and Cryptography Firmware Engineer with firmware integration, testing, and validation.</li> <li>Participate in hardware bring-up, debugging, and prototype testing activities.</li> <li>Assist with development and maintenance of the team’s CI/CD pipeline for embedded firmware builds and testing.</li> <li>Perform firmware integration testing and support issue resolution across hardware and software components.</li> <li>Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, and cybersecurity engineers throughout the development lifecycle.</li> <li>Document firmware changes, testing procedures, and integration activities.</li> <li>Participate in design reviews and technical discussions while building knowledge of embedded system architecture.</li> </ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><h3>Required Qualifications</h3><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM fie
