<div class="description"><h3><strong>Job Overview </strong><strong>: </strong></h3><p>We are looking for a highly experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in traditional Linux administration, bare metal infrastructure, and enterprise storage. This role is <strong>not</strong> focused on DevOps or cloud-native engineering. We already have a strong DevOps team and are looking for someone with extensive hands-on experience designing, building, administering, and troubleshooting large-scale Linux infrastructure.</p><h3>Key Responsibility & Required Skills</h3><ul><li>Expert-level Linux administration (Ubuntu required; Red Hat and SUSE preferred)</li><li>Deep expertise in <strong>bare metal server deployment, architecture, and administration</strong></li><li>Strong understanding of server hardware, including BIOS, RAID, firmware, iLO/iDRAC/IPMI, NICs, HBA cards, and hardware troubleshooting</li><li>Experience designing and administering enterprise Linux infrastructure</li><li>Advanced Linux storage administration:<ul><li>LVM</li><li>XFS, EXT4</li><li>NFS</li><li>iSCSI</li><li>Fibre Channel SAN</li><li>Multipath I/O</li></ul></li><li>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>Ceph</strong>, including:<ul><li>Cluster architecture</li><li>MON, OSD, MDS</li><li>RBD, CephFS, RGW</li><li>Capacity planning</li><li>Performance tuning</li><li>Failure recovery</li></ul></li><li>Strong networking knowledge (bonding, VLANs, routing, MTU, DNS, DHCP)</li><li>Experience with high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux OS, hardware, networking, and storage</li><li>Bash and Python scripting for automation</li></ul><h3>Nice to Have</h3><ul><li>Kubernetes infrastructure (especially storage integration)</li><li>VMware or KVM</li><li>Ansible</li><li>AWS/Azure exposure</li></ul><h3>We are not looking for</h3><ul><li>Candidates whose experience is primarily CI/CD pipeline engineering</li><li>Engineers focused mainly on Terraform, GitOps, or container platforms</li><li>Cloud-only administrators with limited bare metal or infrastructure experience</li></ul><p><strong>Ideal candidate:</strong> Someone who has spent years running enterprise Linux environments, building servers from the hardware up, architecting storage platforms, and solving complex OS, hardware, and storage issues.
