<h3><strong>Job Summary</strong></h3><p>We are seeking a <strong>Research Operations Analyst</strong> to support a multi-year mineral title consolidation program for one of the largest royalty funds in the United States.</p><p>This is a <strong>program-scale, long-term engagement</strong> that spans the full retitling pipeline- from <strong>title research through revenue recovery</strong>. The role begins with a strong focus on <strong>chain-of-title research</strong>, but is designed as an entry point into a broader operational career path across adjacent functions including <strong>curative resolution, owner communications, recording operations, and revenue administration</strong>.</p><p>The ideal candidate combines the <strong>analytical rigor of a legal researcher</strong>, the <strong>precision of a data analyst</strong>, and the <strong>operational adaptability</strong> to learn and execute across evolving workflows.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Conduct structured <strong>chain-of-title research</strong> for owner/fund pairs, tracing ownership histories from current ownership back to origin.</li><li>Review and interpret legal documents including <strong>deeds, probate filings, court orders, affidavits, conveyance instruments, and powers of attorney</strong>.</li><li>Cross-reference ownership data across multiple sources (county records, ownership registers, transfer histories) to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.</li><li>Identify and document <strong>title gaps, ownership defects, missing documents, inflated decimals, and chain breaks</strong>, and flag issues for review and resolution.</li><li>Classify ownership records using the program's <strong>A/B classification framework</strong> (clean title vs. curative required).</li><li>Enter research findings into structured databases using defined workflows and validation protocols.</li><li>Assemble and maintain <strong>complete evidence packs</strong>, including supporting documents, source references, and classification rationale, with proper version control.</li><li>Ensure all research outputs meet <strong>quality standards</strong>, targeting a <strong>90%+ first-pass acceptance rate</strong>, and participate in quality control audits.</li><li>Navigate and extract data from <strong>county clerk and recorder systems</strong> across multiple jurisdictions, adapting to varying formats and access methods.</li><li>Use <strong>land records aggregator platforms</strong> where direct county access is limited or incomplete, and document county-specific access constraints.</li><li>Maintain consistent productivity against defined throughput benchmarks, with improving efficiency over time.</li><li>Follow established research methodologies, SOPs, and workflow protocols, and incorporate feedback to continuously improve accuracy.</li><li>Cross-train into additional operational functions over time, including <strong>curative resolution, owner communications, recording o
