<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a small, high-caliber founding team at a pre-seed AI/fintech startup building the next generation of AI-native operations infrastructure for private markets. You'll own core backend systems that power fund accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and treasury automation — with a deep focus on permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability across both hosted and self-hosted deployments.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for an engineer who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to shape foundational architecture from the ground up.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own and manage backend infrastructure for permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and oversee deployment architectures for hosted and self-hosted environments using infrastructure-as-code tools</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Enhance system reliability, performance, and security in production</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Partner closely with product teams to ship features while maintaining high quality standards</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Drive AI-native development practices to enable rapid, high-quality releases</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">1–6 years of backend engineering experience with a strong emphasis on permissions systems, auditability, traceability, and observability</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience with distributed systems and modern observability toolchains (metrics, logs, tracing)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfortable working in a small founding team — strong ownership, initiative, and cross-functional coordination are essential</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Eligible to work in Germany and willing to work on-site in Berlin</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Tech stack in use:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Inngest, Mastra, React, Tailwind</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Background in fintech, private markets, fund accounting, or enterprise SaaS</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience at companies operating in the AI/ML or financial operations space</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> €70,000 – €110,000 per year, depending on experience</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Early-stage equity opportunity</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Direct impact on product direction and architecture at a founding-team level</p></li><
